Press Release-Kennedy Cheers Outstanding Economic News
Washington, D.C.-Congressman Mark Kennedy made this statement following news that 51,000 new jobs were added in September, totaling over 6.6 million new jobs created since August 2003, and that this month s federal budget deficit is projected to be $10 billion less than August s projection.
"Month after month we have continued to see positive news about our economy. Just yesterday, the stock market hit a new all time high. Today, we see 51,000 new jobs were created in September. That s over 6.6 million new jobs since August 2003. And our budget deficit is now projected to be $10 billion less than last month s projection. There is no doubt that the pro growth economic policies pursued by Congress are paying off.
"Even though our robust economy continues to grow, our work isn t done. Congress must continue to focus on extending tax relief for families and small businesses, opening foreign markets for our products, reducing the price of gas, and keeping spending in check."
