June 28, 2004

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman David Dreier (R-San Dimas), Chairman of the House Rules Committee, is traveling in Mexico this week and visiting with President Vicente Fox, as well as other national leaders in government and law. During his meetings, Congressman Dreier will be discussing various issues including economic growth, immigration and border security, and extradition cases including that of Sheriff Deputy David March.

“Our relationship with Mexico is vital to our national security, as well as our economy,” Dreier said. “I firmly believe in engaging with the Mexican people and their leaders on issues like trade and job creation. I look forward to meeting with President Fox and others to discuss the many issues affecting our countries’ relationship.”

While in Mexico, Congressman Dreier will visit with President Fox, Mexican Economy Secretary Fernando Canales Clariond, Members of the Mexican Congress, Members of the Supreme Court, and business leaders.
