WASHINGTON, DC- “The world has lost a truly great leader, and people of all faiths have lost a true inspiration. Pope John Paul II lived a life of extraordinary vision and dedication. With his passing, we remember his critical role in the defeat of communism and the spread of freedom throughout his native Eastern Europe. There can be no doubt, he deserves a huge amount of credit for this, one of the greatest achievments of the past century. His legacy will be both spiritual and secular. While we mourn his passing, we also celebrate his life.”
