Dreier Lauds Job Growth, Earnings Increases

March 10, 2006

WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman David Dreier (R-San Dimas,CA), Chairman of the House Rules Committee, applauded the announcement today of yet another strong month of job growth and reiterated his belief that growth-oriented tax relief is fueling the expansion.

"Today’s announcement is yet more evidence this economy is strong and getting stronger," Dreier said. "On top of the news of 243,000 new jobs, we learned that average hourly earnings are also on the rise. Our pro-growth policies are achieving just that - strong, sustained growth that is benefitting Americans across the board. As we continue to debate whether the tax relief should be made permanent, I hope Democrats will join us in doing the right thing for the American people. The proof is in the proverbial pudding. Our economic policies are working for America."
