Dreier Congratulates Buck McKeon on His Selection as Education and Workforce Committee Chairman

WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman David Dreier (R-San Dimas, CA), Leader of the California Republican Congressional Delegation, congratulated fellow Californian Congressman Buck McKeon (R-San Clarita, CA) today on his selection as Chairman of the Education and Workforce Committee. Chairman McKeon succeeds Majority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) as chairman of the key committee.

"Buck has been tireless in his efforts at the Education and Workforce Committee, and his work has paid off," Dreier said. "He is truly dedicated to the issues before the committee like improving higher education, competitiveness in the 21st century, and pension reform. He has developed real expertise that will serve the committee and its members well. California also stands to benefit from another chairmanship on another important committee. I applaud Buck’s selection and wish him well in his new position."

Californians also chair the House Committees on Appropriations, Ways and Means, Armed Services, Resources, and Rules.
