Alabama's Fourth District
The Fourth Congressional District of Alabama, located in the north central part of the state, is comprised of 14 counties which extend from the Mississippi border to the Georgia state line. The Fourth District of the State of Alabama is a beautiful and diverse area with much to offer residents and visitors. The western portion offers the longest Natural Bridge east of the Rockies,
Bankhead National Forest, and Looney's Tavern Amphitheatre. The central portion of the Fourth District is in an excellent location for both industry and recreation. It is easily accessed by the Interstate and close to both Huntsville and Birmingham, two of the metropolitan areas of the State. Blount county is unique in that they are home to the most covered bridges in the state. While Cullman, Walker and Winston counties enjoy the Lewis Smith Lake. As well as being home to some of the world's leading industry, the east portion of the district offers the many beautiful recreational sites including
Lake Guntersville, Little River Canyon, and Noccalula Falls.
