Congressman Kingston to open Valdosta office
Public invited to Open House June 1
Washington,
May 23 -
Congressman Jack Kingston (R/Ga) invites the public to the grand opening of his
new Valdosta Congressional office Thursday, June 1 with an open
house from 4-6
p.m.
Congressman Kingston will be on hand to meet area residents.
“I look
forward to welcoming everyone to our new office in Valdosta,” Congressman Kingston said. “The
1st District covers 29 counties so our district offices are very
important. They give people somewhere to go if they need help with a federal
agency or want to give their opinions on issues.”
Congressman
Kingston represents Georgia’s 1st District which includes part of
Lowndes County, and all of Cook, Berrien, Lanier, Clinch and Echols
counties. It currently stretched from Valdosta north to Houston County and from Savannah to south Camden County. The 1st District also includes five
military bases including Moody AFB, Robins AFB, Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base,
Ft. Stewart and Hunter Army Air Field.
The
Valdosta office, located in the Federal Building on Patterson Street, will be open to help constituents
contact federal agencies such as the IRS, Department of Veteran’s Affairs,
Passport Services or others.
