Las Vegas – Senator John Ensign released the following statement today in reaction to the death sentence given to former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein for crimes against humanity:

“I applaud the sentence handed down today to one of the most ruthless dictators who ever lived, a man responsible for the death and suffering of tens of thousands of innocent people. Saddam Hussein was brought to justice by the courageous men and women of the American military, to whom the free world owes a tremendous debt of gratitude.”
