Emergency Planning Guide
The federal government has prepared a comprehensive guide detailing preparations and responses to both natural and man-made disasters.
Prepared by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the safety guide explains how to prepare for and deal with anything from a tornado or flood to a toxic spill or terrorist act.
Copies of Are You Ready? A Guide to Citizen Preparedness are available through the FEMA Publications warehouse (1-800-480-2520), FEMA publication H-34. Some of the guide's files can be downloaded from the FEMA Web site, as well.
