Nebraska's First Congressional District

The First District is located in eastern Nebraska and includes the cities of Lincoln, Norfolk, and Fremont. About 570,325 people live in the 24-county district.

The area's economy revolves around its agriculture and livestock industry. The pork trade is the seventh largest in the country, bringing in more than $500 million annually. Lincoln is a major employer in education, led by the state's only public college, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Home to Nebraska City's Arbor Day, the Platte River Valley, and the State Capitol, the First District offers visitors and citizens alike a diverse selection of adventurous and historical activities.
