CONG. CARTER THANKS NATION’S VETERANS

Washington, DC, Nov 10 - U.S. Representative John Carter (TX-31) made the following statement in honor of Veterans Day on Saturday, November 11:

“Veterans Day allows all Americans to honor the service men and women who have bravely defended our nation throughout history. As that fight continues, our thoughts and prayers remain with our troops whose continued commitment allows us to enjoy a life of freedom and liberty. As a Central Texan, I especially want to thank the troops from Fort Hood for their dedicated service—each of them has made our nation proud.

“Honoring our country and supporting our military is the least we can do for our service men and women who have sacrificed so much for us. We can further honor these veterans by ensuring they receive the benefits and support they deserve; and that is something I will continue to fight for in Congress.

We owe a debt of gratitude to all of our service men and women—past, present, and future— for their courage and sacrifice on behalf of our freedom. Not just today, but every day, Americans should take the time to say ‘thank you’ to all those who have protected us from danger.”
