WASHINGTON - Rep. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) today announced the approval of a $696,000 loan to benefit a Hardy County communitys economic development efforts.
The United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Office of Rural Development has approved a guaranteed loan of $696,000 to assist in purchasing property in the Wardensville Industrial Park in Wardensville, WV, for the construction of a 50,000 square foot building to be used to manufacture custom kitchen cabinet displays. The funds are being lent to Skyline Properties of Strasburg, L.C. and Carper's Wood Creations, Inc. through the Business and Industry Guaranteed Loan program. According to USDA Rural Development, the project has the potential to create 18 jobs.
"These federal funds will be a shot in the arm to Hardy County economic development efforts," said Rep. Capito. "Im happy to have the opportunity to work with USDA Rural Development to assist in the economic development efforts in Hardy County and throughout West Virginia."
