As your Senator, I can arrange for a U.S. flag to be flown at your request over the United States Capitol building for special occasions such as retirements and anniversaries.
Accompanying the flag is a certificate of authenticity from the Architect of the Capitol. The certificate includes the name of the person or organization the flag was flown for, the date and the occasion.
Flags are available in two sizes (3'x5' or 5'x8'), two materials (nylon or cotton), and range in price (from $9.00 to $20.00). There is also a $4.00 fee for shipping and an additional fee of $4.05 to have the flag flown and certified. However, flags can also be purchased from the Senate without being flown over the U.S. Capitol.
If you are interested in ordering a flag please print out the Flag Order Form and send it to my Washington, DC office. Please be sure to include your check made out to "Keeper of the Stationery" and include the shipping and handling fee, and the flying and certification fee (if applicable) for each flag you order.
