Congressman Culberson: Thank you very much. I’m trying to keep it moving here and I’ll try to keep my answers as short as I can. I’m going to go to Jennifer, is that right?
Jennifer: Yes, it is.
Congressman Culberson: Thank you, I’m glad the computer got your name right, Jennifer.
Jennifer: I’m impressed with the new technology. I’m sitting here with my daughter and I received a phone call, and it sounded like a neat thing to try, so I’m impressed.

07/06/06 - Appropriations Success |
This year, the Republican controlled House Appropriations Committee passed the FY2007 appropriations bills on time and under budget. The Committee, of which I am a member, is dedicated to maintaining fiscal discipline. Our committee successfully cut proposed Democratic spending amendments this year by more than $45 billion and at least $106 billion over the last four years.
In order to control the growing deficit, Congress must cut unnecessary, duplicative, or wasteful federal programs. Last year, House Republicans were successful in terminating 53 programs and have proposed 94 terminations for the coming year. Taxpayers expect results from their government and underperformance is not an option. I will continue to demand high standards and work to ensure that Americans receive productive and cost effective services.

12/05/01 - Israel`s War on Terrorism |
The events in Jerusalem on December 1 are appalling, and my sympathy and my prayers go out to the victims and their families. I am outraged at the actions of the militant group Hamas and demand that Yasser Arafat take immediate action to arrest and punish the cowardly criminals who are responsible for these atrocities.
