| Artistic Discovery, the annual Congressional Art Competition, is sponsored by participating Members of Congress around the nation. Each year, I host the local competition, which brings together the best and brightest student artists from around the Twelfth Congressional District. A winner is selected from our local competition and flown to Washington, D.C. for the national unveiling ceremony. The winning piece of artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building for one year, along with entries from other Congressional districts. All students grades 9-12 are eligible to participate in the Congressional Art Competition.
