MARPLE NEWTOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT JOINS WITH REP. WELDON IN HOSTING 7TH DISTRICT TEACHER’S NIGHT 2006

UPPER DARBY, Pa., Oct 17 -

The Marple Newtown School District in conjunction with U.S. Rep. Curt Weldon (R-Pa.) hosted this year’s 7th Congressional District’s Teacher’s Night on Monday night at Marple Newtown High School in Newtown Square, Pa.

This free annual multi-county forum event provided educators in the 7th Congressional District of Pennsylvania with an opportunity to draw upon resources within the non-profit, local, state and federal levels. Representatives from more than 60 agencies were on hand to discuss their school programs and field trips. Additionally, publications and materials for classroom instruction were made available to local educators.

“Our teachers are only as good as the resources available to them,” said Congressman Weldon, a former educator in Delaware County.  “Teacher’s Night provides our educators with opportunities to expand their curriculum, create engaging activities, and offer our students the most robust education possible.”
