Academy Nominations

The privilege of nominating qualified New Mexicans to the Air Force, Army, Naval, and Merchant Marine Academies is one of my most important and gratifying responsibilities.

Creating a successful application will require time and planning on your part. The information in this section should help you in this effort. However, if you have a question that you can't find an answer for here, contact my Santa Fe office.

If you haven't already, contact the academy or academies where you are applying directly. They can send you a catalogue, a detailed explanation of their selection process, and useful suggestions for other actions you should take to enhance your candidacy.

QUALIFICATIONS

To apply for nomination from me you must be a New Mexico resident. You must also be at least 17 years old and not have passed your 23rd birthday on July 1 of the year of admission. [MORE]

APPLICATION PROCESS

You should complete the application as early as possible in order to accommodate the scheduling of interviews. It is important to finish all parts of the application so that you can get your interview. [MORE]
