Senator Bunning introduced Rick Monday at a Capitol Hill Press Conference on June 14th. Mr. Monday played Major League Baseball and is best known for heroics on the afternoon of April 25, 1976, when he rescued the American flag from being burned by two protesters. Mr. Monday and members of the American Legion were in Washington, DC to advocate for a constitutional amendment to ban flag burning.
