Issue - Tax Relief
Right now, North Carolinians work until April each year just to pay their taxes. I am committed to reducing tax rates on work, savings and investment. The tax relief package passed in 2001, and the accelerated tax relief passed this year, are helping to put more money back in the pockets of North Carolina families, stimulate our economy and create jobs. But this tax relief is scheduled to sunset in 2011. I support making the tax relief permanent so that North Carolinians of all incomes will have a more stable financial environment to plan for the future and more money to invest for themselves.
