SENATOR HUTCHISON ANNOUNCES FEMA HOTLINE AND MOBILE CENTERS
FOR AREAS AFFECTED BY TEXAS WILDFIRES

WASHINGTON, DC -- Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has set up a recovery hotline and dispatched Mobile Disaster Recovery Centers (DRC) for residents in Callahan, Cooke, Eastland, Erath, Hood, Montague, Palo Pinto, Tarrant and Wise counties which have been affected by wildfires in Texas.

“Loan and grant assistance is an important resource to help residents in these counties recover. The FEMA hotline and mobile disaster recovery centers will help residents get the information they need,” Sen. Hutchison said. “Those affected by these disastrous wildfires have our full support. I encourage them to utilize these FEMA resources to help them begin to recover and rebuild.”

Eligible applicants may call 1-800- 621-FEMA (3362) for grant and loan assistance to help pay for temporary housing, home repairs and other disaster related expenses. A schedule of when the Mobile DRC’s will be in each of the nine counties is listed below:
