SENATE APPROVES TEEL BIVINS AS AMBASSADOR TO SWEDEN
WASHINGTON, DC -- U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX) applauded Senate approval today of Teel Bivins to be the next ambassador to Sweden. Senators Hutchison and John Cornyn (R-TX) introduced him to Capitol Hill at a hearing of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and worked with their colleagues to secure passage of his nomination.
"Teel Bivins will make an outstanding ambassador to Sweden," Senator Hutchison said. "His experience as a legislator and success in the business world has equipped him well for the art of diplomacy. I know that both Sweden and the United States will benefit when Teel brings Texas values to Stockholm."
