Inhofe interns
prepare for lunch
in the Senate dining room. |
Interning is a wonderful opportunity to experience
first-hand the legislative branch of the federal government, while
serving Oklahoma. By attending committee hearings and guest lectures
and assisting with research and general office duties, interns
gain a behind the scenes perspective of the legislative
process. College credit can often be earned, and it is advisable
to check with your school to determine what specific requirements
must be met.
NOTE: Due to recent problems with the mail system, please fax all DC intern application materials to (202)228-0380, Attention Suzanne Meledeo, Intern Coordinator.
Students interested in the Washington D.C. internship program must
submit an application
to the Washington D.C. office. In addition to the application, you
must include a writing sample, college transcript and three letters
of recommendation. Applicants also should have completed, or be
in the process of completing, their sophomore year of college.
