Our Troops

Yellow Ribbon

Countless corporations and organizations have donated their time, services, and money to help U.S. servicemen and women serving abroad.  If you are looking to provide support to our military families, the following suggestions are just a few ways to help.

Help a soldier call home.  The DoD Military Exchange sells prepaid phone cards to those who wish to buy them for troops serving overseas.  Wal-Mart also sells phone cards and will match the donation. For more information, visit https://thor.aafes.com/scs/default.aspx.

Donate frequent flyer miles.  Operation Hero Miles helps provide transportation for troops who must return home on Emergency Leave.  While the trip back to the U.S. is paid for, this program covers the expense of additional domestic travel.  Learn more at www.heromiles.org.

Help keep them cool.  Operation AC, Inc. sends air conditioners, mini refrigerators, and ice machines to troops in Iraq.  JB Hunt is among its corporate sponsors. You can visit www.operationac.com to donate or sign a soldier up for an air conditioner.

Send a care package.  Operation Gratitude sends everything from deodorant to board games to troops overseas.  To donate an item, make a monetary contribution, or send a letter to accompany a care package, visit www.opgratitude.com.
