Pryor to Speak at John Paul Hammerschmidt Post Office Ceremony, Attend Arkansas Black Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

WASHINGTON D.C. – Senator Mark Pryor today said he is looking forward to speaking at the John Paul Hammerschmidt Post Office naming ceremony and attending the 14th Annual Arkansas Black Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.

On Friday, October 27th at 10:30 am CT, Senator Pryor will speak, along with Congressman John Boozman and former Congressman John Paul Hammerschmidt, at the John Paul Hammerschmidt Post Office naming ceremony. The Senate approved legislation for the John Paul Hammerschmidt Post Office on August 3rd and on August 17th the President signed it into law. The event will take place at 215 West Industrial Park Road in Harrison, AR.

"John Paul Hammerschmidt is an icon in Arkansas, which reflects his dedication to improve the lives of others in our state and nation. I was proud to help shepherd this designation through the Senate in his honor, and I look forward to seeing his name displayed at the Post Office in Harrison,” said Pryor.

On Saturday, October 28th at 7 pm CT, Senator Pryor will attend the 14th Annual Arkansas Black Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. This event will take place in the Wally Allen Ballroom of the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock, AR.
