Sen. Leahy's Washington office has access to a limited number of tickets for tours of the White House, Library of Congress, Capitol Building, Supreme Court, Bureau of Engraving and Printing, the Kennedy Center, the National Archives and the Pentagon.  Currently, the White House is offering a limited number of self-guided, public tours for groups of ten or more through congressional offices, and on a first-come, first-served basis.  The White House requires security information for all persons touring the building, including first and last names, middle initials, social security numbers and birthdates.  If you are interested in touring the White House, Sen. Leahy's office will need at 6 months advanced notice, as tour availability is very limited.

Place your request by contacting Sen. Leahy's Burlington office at (802) 863-2525 or 1-800-642-3193, or his Washington office at (202) 224-4242. You are also welcome to e-mail your request. Please be prepared to provide a contact name, a daytime phone number, a home address, the dates you will be available for touring, the number of people in your party and information regarding any special needs. Congressional tickets are limited in number and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Give my office as much advance notice as possible. If the tickets you want are unavailable, public tours are available most weekdays, and are also based on a first-come, first-served basis. Call Sen. Leahy's offices to find out if these tickets are available, and ask for a copy of the "Welcome to Washington" packet, which provides information about public tours and attractions in the Washington area. Links to some of the popular attractions are listed below, as well as information about dozens of area attractions, including museums, monuments, and historical sites.
