After a flag is purchased, Senator Feinstein can request that the Architect of the Capitol have it flown over the United States Capitol. Flags can be flown on any day of the year and can be used to commemorate special occasions or events.

In addition to the flag, you will receive a certificate from the Architect of the Capitol, suitable for framing, stating that the accompanying flag was flown over the Capitol. The certificate will also include the name of the person or organization for whom the flag was flown, the occasion for which it was flown and the date it was flown.

To purchase a flag through Senator Feinstein's office, send a check payable to "Keeper of the Stationery" along with a completed Flag Request Form to the address on the form. Be sure to include the shipping and handling fee, and the flying and certification fee for each flag you order.

Please note:

- Due to the large number of requests we receive, please allow our office 4-6 weeks to process your request.  Once a date has passed, it is no longer possible to purchase a flag flown on that date. Please allow an additional 4-6 weeks after the flag has been flown for delivery.

- Because our office must pay for flags before they can be flown, we cannot accept flag requests via Internet or on the phone. A check or money order for the complete amount must be received before an order can be processed.

- Our office can only accept requests from California residents. If you are not from California, please contact the Senators or Representative from your State.

- Only American flags can be purchased and flown over the Capitol and each flag flown must be purchased through a Congressional office.
