I value the privacy of all Internet users. No attempt is made to track your visit to my web site through the use of "cookies" or any other means. The Senate does collect aggregate data such as statistics that show which parts of my site were the most visited. However, no individual user's visit to any Senate site can be tracked by this information. The Senate also posts its own security and privacy notice.
The only information available to me about you as an individual Internet user is what you choose to send me using the webmail form to express your opinions about federal legislation. The information collected on this page (name, address, and opinion message) is used to verify your residency and to send a reply to you via U.S. Mail. I require your name and address to ensure that I focus my efforts on representing Alaskans who sent me to Washington to work for them.
Constituent comments on legislation and policy issues are generally tabulated in some form. Your comments are sometimes quoted in speeches, inserted into the Congressional Record, shared with relevant federal agencies or otherwise used in debate before the United States Senate. Unless anonymity is requested, constituents should consider comments submitted as entering the public domain.
