of Secretary Rumsfeld’s resignation and President Bush’s
nomination of Dr. Robert M. Gates to succeed him:

Senate Approves U.S.-U.K.
Extradition and Geneva Protocol III Treaties
U.S. Senate last week unanimously approved the Extradition
Treaty Between the United States of America and the United Kingdom
of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The Senate also approved
Geneva Protocol III (the Protocol Additional to the Geneva Conventions
of 12 August 1949, and relating to the Adoption of an Additional
Distinctive Emblem).
