McCollum's Work Honored with Annual Leadership Award from International Development and Humanitarian NGOs

St. Paul, MN – InterAction, an alliance of 160 U.S.-based international development and humanitarian nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), has named Congresswoman Betty McCollum (MN-04) one of its two recipients of their annual Congressional Leadership Award for her work advancing international development and humanitarian issues.  Among InterAction’s members are large and small NGOs such as CARE, Save the Children, and the Minnesota-based American Refugee Committee.  InterAction’s director of Public Policy and Advocacy, Todd Shelton, said, “Our member organizations have chosen to honor Rep. McCollum for her leadership on sustainable, poverty reducing, and gender-sensitive international development.”

U.S. House Passes McCollum National Mississippi River Trail Bill

On Monday, September 25, the U.S. House unanimously passed the Mississippi River Trail Study Act (H.R. 1796), legislation sponsored by Congresswoman Betty McCollum (MN-04) to begin the process of establishing a national trail along the Mississippi River.
