ESSENTIAL AIR SERVICE TO CONTINUE AT KIRKSVILLE AIRPORT
The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has announced that Kirksville will continue to receive essential air service (EAS) subsidies for two years. Air service will be provided by Mesa Air Group Inc. The decision also terminates a tentative previous order, which would have terminated commercial air service to Kirksville because of low passenger levels.

HULSHOF PLEASED WITH MEDICARE CHANGE Protects Patient Access to Vital Hospital Services
U.S. Representative Kenny Hulshof (R-MO) expressed his support of changes to hospital payments announced by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' (CMS). Hulshof recently joined with 188 bipartisan Members of Congress asking for modifications to a rule proposed by CMS changing the way hospitals would be paid for inpatient hospital services provided to Medicare patients. The final rule issued by CMS contains changes in response to the concerns raised by lawmakers.

HULSHOF: FEDERAL FUNDS COMING
TO ASSIST IN LOCAL ECO-DEVO PROJECTS
The U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) has awarded $50,000 to the Mid-Missouri Regional Planning Commission (MMRPC), Congressman Kenny Hulshof announced today. The money is part of EDA’s Partnership Planning Investment program.
