Herseth said, "I'm pleased that this hearing will allow the Agriculture Committee to hear directly from South Dakotans. This is an excellent opportunity to highlight the needs, challenges and strengths surrounding agriculture in our state, and for South Dakotans to have a real voice in crafting the next Farm Bill."

Herseth added that the hearing, which begins at 9:30 am at Wall High School next Monday, is open to the public. In order to allow for the most input possible, Herseth has created a special form on her web site, at www.house.gov/herseth as well as a toll-free line, at (866) 371-8747 so that South Dakotans who are unable to attend can still register their input and share their ideas.
