Federal Court
Redraws 25th District
In August, a federal court redrew 25th
Congressional District. Currently, the district runs from the
Colorado to the Rio Grande River, but under the new court-ordered
map, the district will no longer include Hidalgo, Starr, Jim Hogg,
Duval, Live Oak, and Karnes Counties. The redrawn district, in
addition to Gonzales, Caldwell, and a portion of Travis County, will
also include Hays, Fayette, Lavaca, Colorado and the southern
portion of Bastrop County. |
I was
honored to present a flag in recognition and thanks to Mrs.
Betty Jo Hudspeth, Andrews Elementary principal, who
retired after 40 years of service to school
children and their parents. Helping me to honor her are
Andrews students who will no doubt miss her. The flag was
flown over the United States' Capitol in honor of Mrs. Hudspeth's retirement and will now fly at the school. |

Postal Mail Slow to Arrive
to DC Office
Due to threats of bio-terrorism, the
House Sergeant At Arms has implemented screening procedures for all mail
to House offices in Washington, D.C. These procedures are very important
to keep the Capitol safe, but they slow the mail flow to my office. When
possible,
please email me from this website
